Parenting Mediation Process

How does it work?

Our approach encourages respectful discussion and keeps your children’s wellbeing at the center.

YOUR INDIVDUAL SESSION You meet privately with the practitioner by phone or Zoom for 60–90 minutes. This is an opportunity to discuss your circumstances, concerns and what you hope to achieve, and to ask questions about the process.

ASSESSING SUITABILITY Before mediation proceeds, we assess whether it is suitable for your circumstances, including safety concerns and each person’s ability to participate. We discuss appropriate next steps and any arrangements that may support participation.

THE MEDIATION SESSION Where suitable, mediation takes place via Zoom. The practitioner helps you identify issues, discuss options and explore possible agreements. We remain impartial and do not decide the outcome for you.

RECORDING ANY AGREEMENT If agreement is reached, we can help record the agreed arrangements and discuss whether you would like them set out in a parenting plan.

Ready to take the next step?

Book an individual intake to discuss your circumstances and learn how parenting mediation may help you move forward.
